Endeavoring to Crystallize the Concept of Effective Leadership and the Characteristics of Leadership Performance
Al Suwaidan: “the Gulf Innovation” Inaugurates the Training Course on “Excellence in Leadership” in the Presence of 70 Participants from Various Arab Countries, Beginning of Next March
In the presence of 70 participants from Arab countries including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain representing public and private institutions, the Gulf Innovation for Consulting and Training will inaugurate the course on Excellence Leadership during the period 1-4 March. The main lecturer in this course will be the Board Chairman and the international expert Dr. Tareq Al Suwaidan.
In this context, Dr. Al Suwaidan highlighted that the training course that will last for 4 days and will witness the participation of specialist and leaders from public and private institutions. It mainly aims at introducing the participants to the concepts of effective leadership and will familiarize the participants with the main features of leadership performance. Moreover, the course will present the modern leadership management trends and the exploration of leadership tendencies and talents.
Dr. Al Suwaidan also indicated that the course aims at shedding the light on the significance of excellence training by presenting the leaders’ behavioral practices according to an international model that measures efficiency.
Moreover, he underlined that the course includes important modules, such as the introduction of leadership, difference between management and leadership, main principles of leadership and how to acquire leadership features.
Concerning the main features of an effective leader, who should have a clear vision, Al Suwaidan indicated that the main feature of a leader is the knowledge of what he wants on the long run and the balance between spirit, feelings, body and mind. A leader should also create balanced relations and should have the capacity to know people and to assign the right person to the right post, which is one of the most important capacities of a leader.
He also said that assigning the right person to the right post is one of the most significant characteristics of an effective leader. Missing this feature will create a gap in the character of the leader. Furthermore, he said that an effective leader should have the ability to control himself and not to lose his balance.
Dr. Al Suwaidan will present a practical training course to the participants based on a set of skills and mathematical and behavioral skills that aim at measuring leadership capacities. This is known as “modified disc analysis of leadership capacities” which is considered as one of the best international programs for the analysis of leadership characteristics, due to the accuracy of its results that reached 93%. This makes the program, which is presented for the first time in the Middle East, ranked as number on internationally.
Additionally, he stressed the importance of planning, innovation, building relations, training, chronic problems’ solving and the capacity to evaluate are the main talents that need to be sought, developed and improved in order to create a generation of distinguished leaders.
According to Dr. Al Suwaidan, this course comes as a response to the need for training and development in the Arab world, particularly in the security and military areas. Accordingly, the best international programs should be introduced after their adaptation to the values, traditions and habits of the Arab society. He indicated that he is delighted with the attention given by a number of public and private institutions to the leadership role in enhancing the institutions’ capacities.
